Edward Asseily

Edward Asseily has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Edward is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Zulu Forest Sciences, a company focused on regenerating natural carbon sinks and habitats through their innovative platform. Prior to this, Edward worked as a Director at Asseily Ventures, where they were involved in various investment activities. Edward also served as a Non Executive Director at EGT Holdings, an investment holding company with a majority stake in an Asia-wide operating business. Edward's experience in the banking sector includes roles at Standard Chartered Bank, where they held positions such as Group Head of Risk Frameworks & Governance, COO of Consumer Banking Risk, and COO of Group Risk Management & Reporting. Edward also worked as an Advisor at BankT&D. In addition, Edward has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder and Commercial & Finance Director at On Bourse Ltd, and as an Investor & Advisor at SnapDragon, a leading Chinese furniture importer and retailer. Edward started their career as a Senior Consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants and later worked as a Reserve Vice President at Citibank N.A.

Edward Asseily obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Edward then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 1992 and 1993. In 1998, Edward earned an MBA from INSEAD. Lastly, in 2017, they completed a program in Data Science / Machine Learning at General Assembly.
