Krishna Vempati

Krishna Vempati has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Krishna is currently the VP of Product at Zūm Rails, a position they assumed in August 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Venture Growth Advisor at ventureLAB starting in April 2022.

From 2020 to 2022, Krishna worked as a Senior Product Manager at Flowcast, a fintech startup specializing in AI/ML solutions for credit decisions. During their time at Flowcast, they played a crucial role in the launch and subsequent feature releases of the company's flagship ML-based product for small-medium businesses.

Before joining Flowcast, Krishna held multiple positions at Versapay, a leading SaaS provider for integrated payments and receivable automation. From 2019 to 2020, they served as the Director of Product Integrations and Client Solutions, responsible for product strategy and roadmap. Prior to this, they were the Team Lead of Product Integrations and Client Solutions from 2017 to 2019, managing a team of software engineers. Krishna also served as a Product Manager from 2014 to 2017, collaborating with various teams to define new product features.

Krishna's work experience also includes being a co-founder of TrackMyMBA.com, where they created and launched an online platform to track applications for business schools. Additionally, they worked at Oracle as a Senior Software Developer in the Server Technologies division from 2009 to 2012, where they collaborated with global teams to support and launch Oracle Database across multiple operating systems.

Krishna Vempati earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Strategic Management from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati, graduating with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Krishna has obtained several certifications, including "Introduction to Machine Learning in Production" and "Deep Learning Specialization" from Coursera in 2021 and 2020 respectively. Krishna also completed a certification in "Machine Learning" from Coursera in 2017, and became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the Scrum Alliance in 2020.
