Abhishek Garg is the current Chief Technical Officer at Zūm. Prior to this, they worked as a Computational Biologist at Next Generation Diagnostics (NGDx) and Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) from December 2013 to June 2017. There, they developed bioinformatics tools to discover prognostic and predictive bio-markers of response to cancer therapies by integrating and modeling genomics and proteomics data from clinical trials. Abhishek also developed computational methods to study the impact of immune system in cancer therapies. Garg's specialties include Next Generation Sequencing, Targeted gene panels, TCR/BCR repertoire analysis, RNASeq/Nanostring analysis, Microarray data analysis, Gene Regulatory Networks modeling and analysis, Algorithms, Machine Learning, and Statistical analysis. From August 2010 to November 2013, Garg worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School where they worked on computational and experimental techniques to design de novo biological circuits using TALE activators and repressors in mammalian cells for synthetic biology applications. Prior to that, Garg worked as a Research Scientist at F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG from October 2009 to August 2010.
Abhishek Garg completed a PhD in Computer Science at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and a B.E in Computer Science at the Indian Institute Of Information Technology.
