Martin Weder

Martin Weder is an experienced economist currently serving as Chief Economist at Zürcher Kantonalbank since February 2018, having previously held the role of Senior Economist in Investment Strategy and Economic Research at the same institution. Weder's prior experience includes working as an Economist in Financial Market Analysis at Schweizerische Nationalbank from August 2013 to January 2018 and as a Research Associate and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Lucerne from January 2009 to July 2013. Additionally, Weder worked as a Research Associate focused on Public Finance and Taxation at economiesuisse from September 2008 to August 2012. Weder holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy from the University of Lucerne, a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of St.Gallen, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the same institution.
