Edwin Birkhoff

Edwin Birkhoff is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in underwriting and brokerage. Since December 2006, Birkhoff has held various leadership roles at Zurich Insurance plc, including Chief Underwriting Officer, Manager of Underwriting Property & Engineering Lines for the Benelux region, and Team Leader for Underwriting Engineering Lines in the same area. Before joining Zurich, Birkhoff worked at Aon as a broker for the Engineering Lines Department and as an Account Manager for Construction from November 1999 to December 2006. Birkhoff began a career in underwriting as a Junior Underwriter for Engineering Lines at Allianz from August 1997 to November 1999. Educationally, Birkhoff attended HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht from 1989 to 1993 and completed earlier studies at Comenius from 1982 to 1987.
