Matthew Maher

Matthew Maher has a diverse range of work experience. Matthew started their professional journey in 2006 as a Community Volunteer with the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association. In 2012, they joined Joe's Crab Shack as a Server, Host, and Seafood Specialist, where they delivered exceptional customer service and maintained smooth operations within the restaurant. In 2013, Matthew became a Student Researcher for the NOvA Research Project, contributing to a large-scale physics research project and supervising other student researchers. Parallel to this role, they also volunteered as a Student Volunteer at Hennepin County Medical Center, assisting staff members with office tasks and contributing to the development of a cardiac rehab directory.

In 2014, Matthew worked as an Engineering Intern at Ameda, Inc., gaining hands-on experience in the lab and working on medical devices such as breast pumps. Matthew also continued to work part-time as an independent contractor for the marketing department. Matthew further developed their engineering skills by becoming a Member of the Bolivia Project at Engineers Without Borders-USA, University of Minnesota chapter from 2012 to 2015. Matthew contributed to the preparation of implementation plans and managed the wiki page for the project. Additionally, they worked with the freshman leadership board to support the organization's promotion through fundraisers and social events.

From 2015 onwards, Matthew worked at Zurich Medical Inc. as an Engineering Intern, Associate Engineer, and currently as a Manufacturing Manager. In their roles, they have been involved in various aspects of manufacturing, including wedge bonding, building portable displays, and assembling and masking IG's. Matthew has also worked on projects to enhance the manufacturing process, documenting best practices and identifying potential scrap issues.

Matthew Maher attended Carmel Catholic High School from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Matthew then went on to study at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
