Viraj Ramlakun

Viraj Ramlakun is a highly experienced technical professional specializing in instrumentation and control systems, currently serving as the Technical Director and Head of Manufacturing at Zutari since April 2023. Prior to Zutari, Viraj held the position of Technical Director: Manufacturing Lead, and served as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer at Royal HaskoningDHV from September 2017 to January 2022. Viraj's career includes significant experience as an Instrumentation and Control Superintendent at Gledhow Sugar Company from March 2012 to August 2017, where key responsibilities involved project management, works order planning, budget preparation, and training of apprentices. Viraj's earlier role as an Application Engineer at Cube Technologies (Pty) Ltd helped lay a solid foundation for a career in the field. Education includes an Engineer’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics Instrumentation, and Control Systems from Durban University of Technology, completed in 2009, following a high school education at Northwood Boys.
