Andrew started their career in 2008 as a research and development technician at Performance Indicator, LLC. In this role, they were responsible for conducting research and developing new products. Andrew also provided support to the engineering team and helped establish an optimized manufacturing process. In 2012, they left Performance Indicator to join QD Vision, Inc. as their lead chemical technician.

As lead chemical technician, Andrew was responsible for managing a team of technicians and training new hires in the company's manufacturing process and hazardous waste management procedures. Andrew also worked closely with engineers to optimize the manufacturing process and ensure that products met quality specifications. In 2014, Andrew left QD Vision to join LiquiGlide as their lab manager.

In their role as lab manager, Andrew was responsible for managing the company's chemistry, biology, and GMP labs. Andrew also oversaw the facilities and assisted in the development of new coatings. In addition, they served as the emergency coordinator and managed the hazardous waste. In 2019, they left LiquiGlide to join ZwitterCo as their Operations & EHS Manager.

Andrew O’Connell works with Mike Schmidt - New Product Introduction Program Manager, Jake Cotter - Vertical Market Manager, and Kathleen Moriarty - People Operations Manager. Their manager is Bryan Siegal, VP of Operations.
