Prashant Sharma

Prashant Sharma has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Prashant began their career at Xerox India as a Manager in Materials Support from November 1997 to September 1999. Prashant then joined Apollo Tyres as a Purchase Manager from September 1999 to June 2002. Prashant continued to advance in their career and joined Johnson & Johnson as the Head of Purchase, Planning, and Warehouse from July 2002 to February 2007. Prashant then joined DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals as the Head of Demand and Supply Chain from February 2007 to December 2008. Prashant's next role was at Zydus Group, where they held various positions including Vice President of Global Demand and Supply Organization from January 2009 to March 2010, Senior Vice President of Global Demand and Supply Organization from April 2010 to September 2010, and Senior Vice President and Head of Global Demand-Supply Organization and Global IT from October 2010 to June 2013. Prashant then took on the responsibility of President of Group Human Resources and Corporate Communications at Zydus Group from June 2013 to May 2016. Prashant's roles at Zydus Group also included President of Group Formulations Manufacturing and Operations from May 2016 to November 2018, President of Group Manufacturing and Operations (Formulations, API & Biologics) from November 2018 to December 2020, and currently Chief Technical Officer, where they are responsible for heading operations, managing the Formulations, Biologics, and API departments, as well as the API business and P&L at Zydus Group.

Prashant Sharma has a diverse education history. Prashant completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics at the National Institute of Technology Surat from 1987 to 1991. Following that, they pursued an MBA with a focus on Materials Management at the Dept of Management Sciences, University of Pune from 1993 to 1995. In 2014, they enrolled in a two-year General Management Course at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, which was designed specifically for Zydus. Additionally, in 2017, Prashant earned an Honorary Fellow distinction in Supply Chain & Operations from the Indian Institute of Materials Management.
