Dr. Steve Matza is the Chief Scientist at ZymeFlow. Steve is responsible for research and development, product strategy, and technical guidance. His regulatory compliance efforts, intellectual property experience, and competitor surveillance are often showcased at technical conferences.

Over the last twelve years, Steve has been instrumental in expanding the company product portfolio by developing additional chemistries that continue to have great global success.

Steve offers over forty (40) years of experience as an Industrial Chemist and holds sixteen (16) issued patents. He joined ZymeFlow in 2009 and currently works out of the laboratory in Houston, Texas. Prior, Steve spent three decades at Shell in the roles of Research Chemist, Senior Process Chemist and Corrosion Specialist. He started his career as a NASA Intern.

Steve received his B.S. in chemistry from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX, followed by a Ph. D from the top-rated Analytical Chemistry program at Purdue University located in Lafayette, Indiana.
