Ferrari Has a New Chief Content Officer - TopGear’s Charlie Turner

TopGear’s Editorial Director Charlie Turner is named Chief Content Officer at luxury car manufacturer Ferrari, the company said on Tuesday. He will be joining the company in the summer.

Turner has been with TopGear for over 18 years, according to his LinkedIn profile he first joined the company in October 2003 as a Creative Director and was promoted to Editor in Chief seven years later. The motoring show was acquired by BBC in October 2020.

“After a truly incredible journey over 18 unforgettable years at TopGear, it’s time for a new challenge and I am delighted to confirm I will take on the new role of Chief Content Officer at Ferrari when I leave the BBC later this summer,” Turner wrote in a Twitter post.

The supercar manufacturer is currently looking to expand its products to apparel and accessories. In his new role, Turner will be overseeing commercial content relationships and Ferrari’s social media platforms.
