FOX Corporation has selected a new General Counsel, Jeff A. Taylor, who was elevated from his previous role as the media behemoth’s EVP and Chief Litigation Counsel.
As FOX’s new top lawyer, Taylor will oversee the media company’s legal functions and continue to report to Chief Legal and Policy Officer Viet D. Dinh.
In a press release, Dinh called Taylor a consummate professional and added, “He confidently navigates complex legal matters, ensures best corporate governance, and inspires his teams. Jeff will put all that experience and expertise into greater action as he leads our legal function."
Alongside Taylor’s new role, FOX also announced that Nicholas Trutanich, the former United States Attorney for Nevada, will join Taylor's team as EVP and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. In this role, Trutanich will provide ethics advice, oversee compliance training and investigations, and serve as FOX's point of contact with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
"Nick is an experienced trial lawyer, a proven leader, and an adviser with impeccable integrity, Taylor commented. “He is an ideal fit for our already strong team, and his expertise in gaming regulation will be invaluable as FOX continues its push into sports betting."
FOX Bet, the company’s entrant into the sports betting arena, was first launched in September 2019 and has gradually grown its presence in the US as more states legalize the industry. FOX Bet is now offered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado, and most recently Michigan, which it debuted in earlier this year.
