Adobe Appoints a New CFO

Starting October 18, Adobe will have a new Chief Financial Officer, Dan Durn. He will take over the role from John Murphy, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

Starting October 18, Adobe will have a new Chief Financial Officer, Dan Durn. He will take over the role from John Murphy, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

As the software company’s EVP and CFO, Durn will report directly to CEO Shantanu Narayen and oversee the Accounting, Business Operations and Pricing, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, Payroll, Procurement, SEC Reporting, Tax, and Treasury functions.

In Adobe’s announcement, Narayen highlighted Durn’s decades of tech, finance, operations, and global strategy experience, which he said made him “the ideal choice to drive Adobe’s continued growth and profitability.”

Durn spent the last four years as the CFO of Applied Materials, He also held the top finance roles at NXP Semiconductors, Freescale Semiconductor, and GlobalFoundries. Prior to that, the US Navy veteran worked in top M&A roles at the Mubadala Technology Fund and Goldman Sachs.
