Passport, the transportation software and payments company helping municipalities provide digital parking and mobility infrastructure, has recruited Vanna Krantz as its new CFO.
She has come on board to lead the Charlotte, North Carolina-based startup’s financial operations as it scales rapidly with financial growth of 457% over the past three years.
Krantz brings a wealth of financial executive experience, including her most recent role as the CFO at online instructional video platform MasterClass. Prior to that, she spent three years as the CFO at Disney Streaming Services, where she helped launch the company’s Disney+ and ESPN+ offerings. Krantz has also held divisional CFO positions at Thomson Reuters and brings Wall Street experience from roles at Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch.
"We're thrilled to bring Vanna into the organization where her experience of building growth companies and accelerated plans will be an integral part of the executive leadership team," Passport CEO David Evans said in a press release. "She'll oversee the critical processes, systems and cadences that serve as the foundation to enhance shareholder value"
The company’s Passport Operating System is currently in use by over 800 cities in North America as well as a few universities, including UMBC, which inked a deal with the startup at the end of August. The system enables cities, universities, and private operators to digitally collect parking payments, issue permits, and even control micro-mobility fleets.
"It's a great time to join the growing team at Passport as we build the solutions a city needs to manage the future of mobility," Krantz stated. "I look forward to working with the team to do my part in supporting the company's mission."
Earlier this year, Passport raised $90 million in growth capital from Sixth Street Growth to help extend its footprint and further develop its technology. Since the May 2021 announcemnt, Passport has signed deals with several major municipalities including Flagstaff, Arizona and Portland, Maine to implement aspects of its product.
