Gig Wage has appointed Clarisa Lindenmeyer as its Chief Brand Officer and Chief of Staff to help support its rapid growth and eventual global expansion.
The payroll platform for independent contractors was founded in 2014 and aims to be the bank of the gig economy. To support this vision, Lindenmeyer will build out the Office of the CEO and develop the company’s brand image.
Lindenmeyer brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in B2B2C marketing and PR, growth strategy, and brand building. She joins Gig Wage from Proximity to Power, a consultancy she founded and ran for the past few years. Before that, she served as a sales and marketing executive for a variety of ventures, including Tech Wildcatters.
"I've known Clarisa since her time at Tech Wildcatters and watched her build a phenomenal business since then," Gig Wage’s CEO, Craig J. Lewis, stated. "She has the rare ability to interface with startups, non-profits, global corporations and everything in between while finding unique and impactful ways to drive meaningful improvements and outcomes. I love her unconventional, modern approach to brand building and our shared vision for the importance of the office of the CEO. She's a massive win for the company and me specifically as a CEO."
Alongside the announcement that Lindenmeyer had joined its team, Gig Wage also revealed that it had raised an additional $3.25 million in venture debt from Silicon Valley Bank to support its future growth.
