In a blog post, Brescia said: "I’ve been excited about GitHub ever since I was introduced to the company while at a conference in 2008. It has been incredible to watch GitHub’s growing impact not just on how software is developed but also on how communities of developers work together. Software is truly changing the world, and I could not be more excited to be joining GitHub—the company at the center of it all—as Chief Operating Officer and help us scale to the next 36 million users and beyond."
Erica’s leadership in the technology space extends to serving on the board of directors of The Linux Foundation, as well as being an Investment Partner in X Factor Ventures, which empowers female-led businesses to succeed.
