Latch Names Ex-Apple Marketing Exec as CMO

Latch has recruited Justina Omokhua to join its leadership team as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

Latch has recruited Justina Omokhua to join its leadership team as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

In her new role, Omokhua will lead the smart lock and building technology company’s marketing team and steer the company’s brand development as it expands into new markets and introduces new products.

A senior marketing executive, Omokhua brings a wealth of experience working on the marketing teams at companies like Verizon, Nokia, Pepsi, and L’Oreal. Most recently, she led brand marketing at Endeavor, however, before that she was the Global Head of Content and Lifestyle Strategy at Apple. While at the Silicon Valley giant, she was the woman in charge of marketing for the Apple Services suite of businesses, which include Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Books, Apple Podcasts, and Apple News.

“The perspective and experience that Justina brings from her years of experience with some of the world’s most powerful brands will help us continue to serve new customers in new ways for years to come,” Latch CEO and Co-Founder Luke Schoenfelder stated. “As we simultaneously expand our enterprise customer base and the ways that we serve individual users on our platform through products like LatchID, we’ll create a brand experience that resonates across all the spaces that our products empower.”

Omokhua joins on the heels of the tech company’s June 2021 IPO in which the company received approximately $453 million in cash proceeds, net of fees and expenses. So far in 2021, the company has also launched at least five new products and services including, LatchOS for Commercial Office, Latch Visitor Express, The Latch Lens Partner Program, LatchID, and Latch C2.

This rapid growth in both funding and offerings, gives Omokhua a lot to work with as she helps shape the company’s image.

“Marketing is more than logos and beautiful imagery, it’s about establishing a meaningful relationship with our customers that is reinforced at every touchpoint,” Omokhua expressed. “The team at Latch has already laid the groundwork, and I’m here to help architect the next phase of our evolution.”
