Workplace Tech

Qwick, the leading staffing-as-a-service platform for hospitality businesses and professionals, has appointed Derek Johnson as its first Chief People Officer. Johnson was previously the SVP of People and Culture at Athletic Greens.

Twilio, a customer engagement platform, announced Joyce Kim as its Chief Marketing Officer. Joyce Kim joins Twilio from Genesys, where she also served as Chief Marketing Officer.

Fintech

Binance, a crypto and blockchain infrastructure provider, named Jarek Jakubcek as Head of Intelligence and Investigations for Asia-Pacific. He was previously a cryptocurrency specialist in Europol Cybercrime Centre's (EC3) Dark Web team. It also hired Joshua Eaton, former Deputy U.S. Attorney, as Deputy General Counsel.

Vesttoo, a global alternative risk transfer and investment platform, appointed Gaurav Wadhwa, a former Prudential Financial executive, as its new CFO. The company also hired David Schonbrun as Chief Legal Officer and Daniel Goldfried as Deputy Chief Legal Officer.

Podium, a communication and payments platform for local businesses, hired Mariam Sattar as its first-ever General Counsel. She comes to Podium from Twilio, where she was VP of Legal, Corporate.

TSI, a technology-enabled provider of Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) solutions, named Candice O'Brien as Chief Customer Officer. O'Brien joins TSI after its acquisition of EOS USA, where she served as the COO.

FTX, a global crypto exchange, appointed former Fidelity Investments executive, Marissa MacDonald as Chief Compliance Officer for FTX Trust Company.

Bill.com, a provider of cloud-based software that simplifies, digitizes, and automates financial operations, hired former Google executive Michael DeAngelo as its Chief People Officer.

Health Tech

Google hired Bakul Patel as its Senior Director of Global Digital Health Strategy. Patel was previously the Chief Digital Health Officer of Global Strategy and Innovation at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Vytal, a pharmacy service and healthcare technology company, selected Prasanna Parthasarathy as its next CEO. Parthasarathy joins Vytal from Windrose Health Investors, where he served as an operating partner.

Butterfly Network, a digital health company, named Tamara Dillon as its Chief People Officer, effective May 31, and Larry Weiss as its Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective May 23.

EdTech

Ellucian, a higher education technology solutions provider, announced Susan Morrow will serve as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Morrow joins Ellucian from Salesforce, where was the General Manager for Education Cloud.

E-Commerce

Olo, a SaaS platform for restaurants that enables digital hospitality at every touchpoint, named Diego Panama as its Chief Revenue Officer, effective July 5.

Media Tech

Charter Communications and Comcast selected Marcien Jenckes to lead their recently announced streaming platform joint venture. Jenckes has served as President of Advertising for Comcast Cable since 2017.

Cybersecurity

Pondurance, a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services provider, added Mike Sherwood as VP of Sales. He previously led global sales teams at SecureWorks, InteliSecure and Proofpoint.

Climate Tech

One Concern, a climate resilience technology company, appointed Nnenna Nnoli as its CFO. Nnoli joins One Concern from Spotify, where she served as Vice President, Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.

IT

Splunk, a data platform for security and observability, today announced the appointment of Petra Jenner as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Prior to Splunk, Jenner was Salesforce’s General Manager and SVP responsible for Eastern Europe and Switzerland.

New Relic, an observability company, announced that Mark Sachleben has decided to retire as CFO. He will remain in his role until his successor is named.

Sigma Computing, a cloud analytics and business intelligence company, announced Brian Murphy, Okta’s former SVP of Enterprise Sales for the Americas, as its Chief Revenue Officer.

Chainlink Labs, a provider of secure and reliable open-source oracle solutions, announced that Kemal El Moujahid, former Director of Product Management for TensorFlow at Google, has joined as Chief Product Officer.

Unit4, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for people-centric organizations, today announced the appointment of Tania Garrett as Chief People Officer.

SLK Software, a global technology services provider, promoted Ajay Kumar from President and Chief Business Officer to CEO.

Internet

Shutterstock, a global creative platform, named Paul Hennessy as its CEO, effective July 1, 2022. Hennessy previously served as the CEO of Vroom.

Uber has selected Sarah-Marie Martin, an ex-Goldman Sachs banker, as the leader of its mergers and capital-markets group.

Foursquare announced Liz Brittain will join the company as its CFO. Prior to joining Foursquare, Brittain most recently served as the CFO at HackerOne.

OpenWeb, the premium audience relationship platform, appointed Mark Howard as its Chief Business Officer. Howard most recently served as Chief Advertising & Partnerships Officer at Penske Media Corporation.

Proptech

Compass, a technology-enabled residential real estate brokerage, promoted Greg Hart from Chief Product Officer to COO. The company also revealed its CFO, Kristen Ankerbrandt, will leave in September.

Johnson Controls, a leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, named Anu Rathninde as President, Asia Pacific. Most recently, Rathninde was president, Electrical Distribution Systems and Advanced Safety & User Experience, for Aptiv, Asia Pacific.

Entrata, the multifamily industry's leading operating system, hired Nico Dato as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Entrata, Dato was the EVP of Marketing at Podium.

Vivint Smart Home, a smart home company, announced that Dale R. Gerard will be stepping down as its CFO, effective May 31. Dana Russell, Vivint Solar’s former CFO, will replace Gerard as CFO.
