Alongside this C-suite shuffle, Brandon Gayle and Steve Johnson will also join the company’s Board of Directors
Zendesk announced a slew of executive moves on Wednesday morning. The CRM software company appointed Alex Constantinople to Chief Marketing Officer and promoted outgoing CMO Jeff Titterton to Chief Operating Officer.
In her new role, which starts May 10 according to her Linkedin post, Constantinople will be responsible for evolving and aligning Zendesk’s strategy and overall messaging and positioning in the market, according to a company press release.
Constantinople currently serves as CEO at Outcast, a San Francisco-based marketing agency that she’s been with for over a decade. Before that, she served as Executive Director of Communications at Wired, a Condé Nast publication, as well as VP of News Communications at NBC.
Alongside this C-suite shuffle, Brandon Gayle and Steve Johnson will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Gayle is EVP of Revenue, Brand and Communications for Spurs Sports and Entertainment, which owns and operates the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. Before coming to the NBA, Gayle had several stints in tech at Facebook, Instagram and Groupon, but also worked in a strategy and finance role for the New York Jets.
Johnson is the VP of User Experience at Netflix and has designed experiences for Electronic Arts, Adobe and Linkedin in the past.
“As we move into this next growth phase at Zendesk, it is going to be more important that we build a sense of purpose and long-term vision into our product, team, customers, and communities,” said founder and CEO Mikkel Svane. “We’re excited to have Alex join our leadership team, and Brandon and Steve join our board on this journey.”
