Bernd Strenitz

Bernd Strenitz is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the technology and e-commerce sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of SmartGift at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. since April 2023, Bernd previously founded and led SmartGift as CEO and Board Member from its inception in December 2013 until its acquisition in April 2023. Under Bernd's leadership, SmartGift became a leading provider of engagement and rewards platforms, servicing over 500 major retail brands and corporations globally. Bernd also co-founded Guguchu, an e-commerce platform for music, which was acquired by The Orchard (Sony Music Entertainment) in 2012. Earlier career experience includes roles as Senior Associate in corporate finance at Strata Technology Partners and Sachs Associates, as well as a Financial Data Analyst at Visa. Bernd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from The London School of Economics and has additional education from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and New York University.
