Liz Whiteley

Liz Whiteley is a seasoned professional in environmental sustainability, currently serving as Senior Director of Operations at 1% for the Planet since February 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing business operations, finance, accounting, and HR functions. Previously, Liz held various leadership positions at the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council, advocating for the transition to natural refrigerants in supermarket refrigeration, and served as an Environmental Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, contributing to policy development. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Environmental Systems (Chemistry) and Economics from UC San Diego.
