Before that, they were the Sr. VP of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at zyBooks from July 2016 to July 2020. zyBooks was sold to John Wiley on July 1, 2020. Alex was responsible for taking revenue from $1M to $10M+ and was responsible for all growth functions including sales, sales operations, marketing, business development, planning, and strategy. zyBooks pioneered a new kind of learning content, created specifically for modern technologies and current learners. zyBooks are web-native interactive content that helps students learn challenging topics, with auto-grading that saves instructors time and leads to better-prepared students in class — putting the fun back in learning. zyBooks' primary focus was STEM content and software solutions in Computer Science and Engineering.

Before their time at zyBooks, Alex was the General Manager for Dynamic Books and Macmillan Learning Lab Solutions at Macmillan Learning from August 2014 to June 2016. Prior to that, they were the Director of Teaching & Learning at Macmillan New Ventures from January 2014 to August 2014.

Alex von Rosenberg received their B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University and their MBA from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business with a focus in strategy, finance, and international business.
