Tharika Munasinghe

Tharika Munasinghe's work experience includes a role as a Cyber Security Engineer at 10QBIT, where they perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web applications in cloud environments. They also conduct security audits and identify system gaps and existing issues. Prior to this, Tharika worked as an Associate SOC Engineer at Sri Lanka CERT|CC, where they were responsible for identifying relevant use cases for the Security Operation Center (SOC), configuring SOC tools, and customizing them for critical government departments. Tharika also has experience as an Assistant Lecturer at SLIIT, where they lectured on database security modules and gained hands-on experience in Oracle DB Access Control implementation. Additionally, Tharika worked as a Web Developer at WebGen Solution - Pvt Ltd and as an Associate Automation Specialist at Virtusa.

Tharika Munasinghe pursued their undergraduate education from 2015 to 2019 at SLIIT, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Information Technology. Their specialization was in Cyber Security. In 2020, Tharika enrolled in the University of Moratuwa for their Master's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Security Engineering. Currently, no end year is provided for their master's program.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Tharika has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills in various areas of cybersecurity. In November 2020, they earned the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from the EC-Council. Later, in March 2022, Tharika completed the CSOC Training from Cyber4Dev. In May 2022, they received the Malaysian Certified Penetration Tester (MCPT) certification from CyberSecurity Malaysia. Recently, in June 2022, Tharika attended the ICS Cybersecurity Analysis & Evaluation Virtual Training (401V) conducted by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
