Chi Zhao

Chi (Aimee) Zhao, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Scientist in Assay Automation at 10x Genomics, having previously held the position of Scientist II in the same department. Prior experience includes a role as a Scientific Developer at Emerald Cloud Lab, where Chi developed automated workflows for ion chromatography and centrifuge experiments. Chi earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where significant research involved developing cell-derived biomaterials for targeted drug delivery through multifunctional transmembrane proteins. Additional research experience includes studying the structure and binding mechanisms of protein kinases at Baylor College of Medicine, and undergraduate research in Chemistry at Rice University.
