Jason Gao

Jason Gao currently serves as Vice President of Data Analytics and Information Security at 10x Genomics, where responsibilities include overseeing information security. Previously, Jason worked at Sandia National Laboratories as an R&D Computer Scientist, focusing on cybersecurity and systems research. As a Founding Engineer at M2Mkey Corporation, Jason led the development of a consumer hardware product for home security, emphasizing security architecture and mobile application components. Earlier experiences include internships and research roles at companies such as Nokia and NASA Ames Research Center, along with research positions at Harvard University. Jason holds both a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University.
