Lauren Bourke-Layne

Lauren Bourke-Layne is a Science & Technology Advisor at 10x Genomics since July 2024, with prior experience as a Senior Scientist at Branch Biosciences from June 2021 to May 2024, where contributions included leveraging single cell clonal architecture for drug development. Lauren also worked as Scientist II at Ohana Biosciences, Inc. from October 2019 to April 2021, leading research projects on sperm biology and RNA sequencing. A Post Doctoral Associate at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from July 2016 to September 2019, Lauren developed mouse models of congenital heart disease while managing students. Earlier experience includes research and PhD studies at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute from January 2013 to January 2016, focusing on epigenetic modifiers and securing grant funding. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Epigenetics and dual undergraduate degrees in Biotechnology and Marketing from Queensland University of Technology.
