Nisha Pillai

Nisha Pillai is a Senior Scientist in Applied Bioinformatics at 10x Genomics since November 2019, serving as a global customer-facing expert on software and bioinformatics products while producing technical content such as slides and tutorials. Prior experience includes a role as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Pacific Biosciences from 2017 to 2019, where Nisha tackled technical challenges, refined analysis software, collaborated with marketing, and conducted scientific presentations. Nisha also worked at A*STAR as a Research Officer from 2014 to 2017, specializing in denovo whole genome assembly and analysis. Earlier, Nisha was a Research Associate at the National University of Singapore focusing on gene expression analysis in relation to the BenchToBedside project and an intern at the Genome Institute of Singapore. Nisha holds a Master's degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor of Technology in Bioinformatics from Sathyabama University.
