Loraine Arikat

Loraine Arikat, MPH, MSW, currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, the nation's largest healthcare workers union. Loraine's prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where contributions were made to projects on community land trusts and health, as well as community redevelopment. Loraine has held multiple positions focusing on health policy and social justice, including a Health Policy Legislative Fellow at the Maryland General Assembly and a Racial Justice Facilitator with the Gamaliel Network. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago.
