Karys Belger

Karys Belger is a multi-skilled journalist with extensive experience in both broadcast and digital media. Currently employed at 11Alive since October 2021, Karys has reported on significant events including the mass shooting at an Atlanta medical center and the aftermath of severe tornadoes in North Georgia. Karys actively contributes to the "Voices for Equality" franchise and has conducted exclusive interviews such as one with a Georgia-born K-Pop singer. Prior to 11Alive, Karys worked at WGRZ-TV and WFTX FOX 4, focusing on community issues and breaking news, and has a strong background in multimedia journalism developed while earning a Master's degree from Northwestern University. Karys also has educational credentials from Queen Mary University of London and Spelman College.
