Obadiah Sawyer, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Obadiah is currently serving as the VP of Finance & Accounting at 11T Services since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Accounting at 11T Services from October 2021 to September 2022.
Before joining 11T Services, Obadiah worked at Lutz as a Senior Accountant from June 2020 to October 2021. Obadiah started their career at Lutz as a Staff Accountant from August 2018 to June 2020.
Prior to Lutz, Obadiah worked at D.P. Sawyer, Inc. for a significant period of time. Here, they served in various accounting roles, including Controller/Estimator from April 2012 to March 2018, Accounting Manager/Estimator from October 2009 to March 2012, and Accountant/Estimator from June 2004 to September 2009. During their time at D.P. Sawyer, Inc., Obadiah demonstrated their expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and insurance compliance. Obadiah also played a key role in improving profitability, streamlining operations, and achieving growth in sales and market share. Obadiah earned their Masters in Professional Accountancy from UNL during their tenure at D.P. Sawyer, Inc.
Obadiah Sawyer, CPA, obtained a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Iowa State University, from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their education, Obadiah Sawyer holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) institution.
