Jen Malia, Ph.D., serves as a Professor of English and Creative Writing Coordinator at Norfolk State University since August 2013, with previous roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Malia is also a represented author with BookEnds Literary Agency since March 2018, and has published children's literature, including the chapter book series "THE INFINITY RAINBOW CLUB" and the picture book "TOO STICKY! Sensory Issues with Autism." Additionally, Malia contributes as a freelance writer for prominent publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Glamour. Malia holds a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Southern California, alongside multiple master's degrees and a bachelor's degree in English from Bowdoin College. Currently, Malia is pursuing an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
