Hannah Abel-Hirsch has been working in the media industry since 2015. Hannah began their career as the Arts Editor for Ladybeard Magazine, where they commissioned writers, illustrators, and photographers for the publication's arts-related content. In 2016, they took on the role of Editorial Assistant for Magnum Photos, where they were responsible for writing and curating content for the digital platform. Hannah has continued to write for Magnum on a freelance basis. In 2017, they became an Assistant Editor for the British Journal of Photography Magazine, and also began working as a Freelance Journalist, collaborating with photographers on a digital investigation into bi-national couples separated during Covid-19. The project was published by the FT Weekend Magazine as its front-page story in August 2021.
Hannah Abel-Hirsch completed their high school education at Camden School for Girls Sixth Form, where they earned their A-Levels from 2008 to 2010. Hannah then went on to earn their Bachelor's Degree in History of Art from UCL from 2011 to 2014.
