Irene Georgia Tsatsos

Curator-at-large at 18th Street Arts Center

Irene Georgia Tsatsos is a seasoned professional in the arts field, currently serving as a University Lecturer at UCLA since January 2025 and as Curator-at-Large at 18th Street Arts Center since September 2023. Previously, Tsatsos held the position of Director of Exhibition Programs and Chief Curator at Armory Center for the Arts from October 2010 to July 2023. With extensive experience as a writer, curator, and project manager under the name Irene Tsatsos from March 2005 to June 2023, and as Director/Curator at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions from October 1997 to February 2005, Tsatsos also contributed as Biennial Coordinator at the Whitney Museum of American Art and Acting Artistic Director at the Arts Club of Chicago. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Aesthetics & Politics from California Institute of the Arts and prior studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Antioch College.
