Craig Laxton

Craig Laxton has a diverse work experience in the field of IT operations. Craig started their career as a Network Engineer and Administrator at Brown, Edwards & Company, L.L.P. in 1994. Craig then joined Matria Healthcare, Inc as a Network Engineer/Administrator from 2000 to 2003. Craig continued their career at Robertson Marketing as a Network Engineer/Administrator from 2004 to 2005, where they were responsible for managing servers, network equipment, and performing installations. Laxton then joined Moog Components Group as a Senior System Support Analyst from 2005 to 2013. Here, they implemented and supported virtual environments, managed SANs, and administered Microsoft servers.

In 2013, Laxton joined 1901 Group as the Virtualization and Storage Team Lead. Craig successfully installed enterprise-class virtual environments and implemented backup solutions. Craig then became the Infrastructure Manager, where they managed teams responsible for virtualization, storage, backup, and network. Currently, Laxton holds the position of Director of IT Operations at 1901 Group, where they lead a team and ensures the provision of technical support to enterprise-scale federal and commercial customers. Craig also plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures.

Craig Laxton received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Bluefield State College from 1989 to 1994. Craig also obtained various certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn, VMware, Amazon Web Services, Dell Compellent, Novell, and Microsoft.
