Jerry Keel

Jerry Keel has been working in various roles since 1988. Jerry began their career at Virginia Power as an Electrical Equipment Technician, where they performed routine and acceptance testing of insulation media and electrical equipment and analyzed data to determine performance characteristics. In 1994, they moved to Virginia Power's Surry location as a Control Operations Technician, where they tested automation and control equipment in substations and generating stations, maintained, troubleshoot and repaired protective relays, RTU's, power line carrier, metering and test equipment, and operational check of protective relay control schemes. In 1998, they became a LAN Administrator at Dominion - Virginia Power, providing technical operational assistance to workstation support personnel and clients, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and deploying new desktops, laptops, and networked printers. In 2008, they became the Owner/Technician at Computer Medics of SouthSide Suffolk, providing hardware/software repair service for residential and business customers, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and removal of viruses and spyware. In 2010, they moved to Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP as an Associate in the Firm Technology Group, providing technical operational assistance to workstation support personnel and clients, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and deploying new desktops, laptops, and networked printers. Finally, in 2021, they began working as an Application Support Specialist at 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union.

Jerry Keel obtained an Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology from Tidewater Community College in 1988.
