Brad Barnette

Brad Barnette has extensive experience in quality control and regulatory compliance in the beverage industry. Brad has served as the Director of Quality Assurance and R&D at 2 Towns Ciderhouse since November 2021. Prior to that, they were the Quality Assurance and R&D Manager at the same company from October 2020 to December 2021. Brad also worked as the Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator at Hummingbird Wholesale from November 2019 to October 2020, and as a Quality Supervisor at Crosby Hop Farm, LLC. from August 2018 to October 2019.

Brad also has research experience, having worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University from June 2016 to August 2018. Before that, they served as an Undergraduate Hop Laboratory Technician and QA Technician / Assistant Brewer from May 2015 to June 2016.

Brad has additional industry experience as a Sensory and Consumer Science Co-op at Anheuser-Busch InBev from April 2017 to August 2017.

Before entering the beverage industry, Brad worked as a Bicycle Mechanic at Peak Sports from June 2007 to September 2016.

Lastly, they gained brewing and laboratory experience as a Summer Brewing/Lab Intern at Bridgeport Brewing Company in June 2015.

Brad Barnette has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Food Science and Technology with a focus on Brewing Science from Oregon State University, which they completed between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Food Science and Technology with a specialization in Fermentation Science from the same university, completed from 2014 to 2016. Brad also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Sciences, General, which they obtained from Oregon State University between 2006 and 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) in 2020, HACCP - Basic certification from the Grocery Manufactuers Association in 2016, and the Oregon Liquor Control Commission Service Permit in June 2015.
