Paul Mclaughlin is a highly experienced game artist with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Paul began their career in 1987 as a Lead Artist at Emerald Software in Waterford, Ireland. Paul then moved to Bullfrog Productions in 1990, where they were promoted to Head of Art. In 1997, they joined Lionhead Studios as Studio Art Director and Head of Art. Finally, in 2012, they became the Dictator of Art for 22cans. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for the visual development and direction of various titles, and for building amazing art and animation teams.

Paul Mclaughlin's education history includes a Fine Art degree from Waterford Institute of Technology, which they earned from 1982 to 1986 with a focus on Sculpture (Metal Fabrication), Painting, and Art History. Paul also obtained a Leaving Certificate (A Level equivalent) from De La Salle College Waterford from 1974 to 1980.
