Vasilis Sotiriou

Vasilis Sotiriou has a comprehensive work experience in risk management and finance. Vasilis currently holds the position of Head of Risk Management at 26 Degrees since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Risk Officer at a Cyprus Investment Firm from October 2020 to May 2021. Vasilis also worked at IC Markets from July 2019 to October 2020 as a Risk Manager, and from August 2017 to October 2020 as a Senior Dealer.

Vasilis Sotiriou attended the University of Westminster from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Investment and Risk Finance. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2015, they studied at Oxford Brookes University - International Business School, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Finance and Accounting. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including the CySec AML Certification and the CySec Advance Certification from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, the Integrity Matters certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), and certifications in Bloomberg Essentials, Applied Data Science in R, and Excel Macros and VBA.
