Darren Sumner

Darren Sumner is the Co-CEO and CFO at 360 Health + Community. Darren has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in the technology sector.

Most recently, Darren was the Program Manager for Infrastructure and Cloud at Services Australia, where they were responsible for the delivery of all Infrastructure and Cloud platforms for the Entitlements Calculation Engine program. The Entitlements Calculation Engine is a core part of the strategy to modernise the services and technology platforms for the agency, and is replacing the largest mainframe-based system within the agency, responsible for calculating welfare payments in excess of $150 billion annually.

Prior to that, Darren was the GM for Enterprise Infrastructure and Technology Operations at Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). In this role, Darren was responsible for leading a team of 130 staff who delivered 24x7x365 operations of AEMO’s critical national energy market and gas transportation systems. These systems enable the secure, reliable and efficient operation of the electricity grid across Australia’s mainland states and territories, and the gas market in Victoria.

Before joining AEMO, Darren spent 9 years at Australia Post, where they held various leadership roles, including Head of Infrastructure and Integration Services. In this role, Darren was responsible for a team of 60 staff who delivered Australia Post’s IT infrastructure, data centre operations, network and telecommunications services.

Darren began their career at Tabcorp in 1999, where they spent 9 years in various technical and management roles, including Hosting Technologies Manager. In this role

Darren Sumner has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computing from La Trobe University. Darren also has certification from AGSVA in AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance and from Scaled Agile Academy in SAFe Agilist. Additionally, they have certification from APMG International in ITIL v2 Foundation.
