Abhay R. Patel

As Managing Director, Abhay routinely advises Butler Snow Advisory clients on growth strategies, capital formation, and sell-side and other related transactions. He has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and general advisory, where he counseled companies and shareholders in billion-dollar transactions.

Before joining Butler Snow Advisory, Abhay served as Chief Financial Officer for NOLA Marine Ventures, an investor group focused on acquiring businesses in the recreational boating industry. Prior to that role, Abhay was a 2016 candidate for the United States Senate in Louisiana.

Before his campaign, Abhay served as Vice President of Business Development for the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA), where he led the implementation of ProsperityNOLA, the city’s 5-year strategic growth plan. In addition, Abhay led the firm’s business retention, expansion, and attraction platform, where he worked closely with local entrepreneurs and recruited young and growing companies into the market.
