Elitsa Dzhongova

Toxicological Analyst at 3E

Elitsa Dzhongova is a toxicological analyst and product safety specialist at 3E, with experience in hazard and risk assessment methodologies for human health and the environment, compliance with GHS and CLP regulations, and the development of scientifically sound decisions on classification and labelling. Currently, Elitsa contributes to regulatory toxicology specialization at the Nacional Center for Public Health and Analysis. Previous roles include a scientific project officer at the Joint Research Centre for the European Commission, and postdoctoral researcher at Qatar University, focusing on industrial chemistry and artificial photosynthesis. Elitsa has also served as a research associate at Texas A&M University at Qatar, and held positions ranging from Marie Curie Fellow at Newcastle University to various roles in quality control at the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Bulgaria. Elitsa holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Bioprocesses from Newcastle University and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Himiko-tehnologièen i metalurgièen universitet.
