Hugo Caballero

Hugo Caballero has extensive work experience in various roles related to business analytics, data science, project leadership, and teaching. Hugo started their career at Cementos Argos, where they held positions such as Director of Business Analytics and Director of Data Scientist. In these roles, they were responsible for developing analytical capabilities, coaching teams in modeling and analytics techniques, and creating performance dashboards for decision-making support. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Leader in the Financial Department, focusing on logistics and supply chain optimization, financial modeling, and simulation modeling. Hugo also held the position of Project Leader in the Technical Department, where they were involved in strategic resources planning and project evaluation and selection. In addition to their industry experience, they have worked as a Lecturer for Capstone Design Projects at Universidad del Norte and as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University. Hugo started their career as an Intern in Manufacturing and Engineering at Kimberly-Clark. Throughout their career, Hugo has demonstrated expertise in analytics, modeling, optimization, simulation, and strategic planning.

Hugo Caballero's education history includes a Senior Management Program in Digital Business from ESIC Business & Marketing School in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Technology from Purdue University between 2010 and 2014, and a Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University between 2012 and 2013. Hugo also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, obtained from 1998 to 2000, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad del Norte, completed from 1991 to 1996.
