Eric (Yuxuan) Zheng's work experience begins with their current role at 4D Molecular Therapeutics as the Director of Technology & Innovation. 4D Molecular Therapeutics is a gene therapy company focused on developing a diverse pipeline of product candidates for various therapeutic areas. Eric's early career included roles as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at UC Davis from 2012 to 2017, a Research Intern at Intrexon Corporation in 2017, and an Undergraduate Researcher at Sun Yat-sen University from 2010 to 2012.

Eric (Yuxuan) Zheng pursued their education with a focus on Chemistry and Biology. Eric (Yuxuan) began their academic journey at Sun Yat-sen University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Biology between 2008 and 2012. Following this, Eric expanded their knowledge by attending National Sun Yat-Sen University as an exchange student in 2010, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for one year. Motivated by their passion for the subject, Eric pursued further studies at the University of California, Davis from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Bioorganic Chemistry & Biotechnology. To enhance their expertise and keep up with current trends, Eric obtained a certification titled "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" from LinkedIn in December 2018.
