Jean van der Vaeren

Jean van der Vaeren has extensive work experience in software engineering and consulting. From 2016 to the present, they have been a Director of Software Engineering at 4G Clinical, where they previously held the position of Senior Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at n-Side S.A from 2012 to 2016, where they served as a Consultant. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks such as project scoping, data analysis, mathematical modeling, and providing recommendations. Jean worked in diverse business areas including energy management, clinical trials, supply chain, and industrial planning. Throughout their career, Jean has utilized several technologies including mathematical optimization, constraint programming, Monte Carlo simulation, and regression analysis.

Jean van der Vaeren completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Applied Mathematics from Université catholique de Louvain from 2007 to 2010. Jean then pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university from 2010 to 2012. During their studies, they participated in the Erasmus exchange program at DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 2011. Furthermore, Jean obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in 2012.
