Eddie Thai is currently a partner at 500 Startups Vietnam, a global early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. Eddie is also a member of the corporate advisory board for UNICEF Viet Nam and a steering committee member for NextGen Vietnam.

Eddie Thai has over 18 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, and investments. Eddie has a proven track record in launching and scaling businesses in Vietnam and other emerging markets.

Prior to joining 500 Startups, Eddie was the director for Asia at Harvard University's alumni association board of directors. In this role, they oversaw the HAA's alumni engagement programs in Asia.

Before their time at Harvard, Eddie served as the director of strategy and corporate development at CJ CGV Vietnam, one of the largest cinema chains in Vietnam. During their tenure, they launched CJ CGV's operations in Vietnam and helped grow the company to become the market leader.

Eddie Thai began their career at UNDP, where they spent several years working on economic development initiatives in Vietnam. Eddie later joined 500 Startups as a partner, where they launched the firm's Vietnam-focused fund and supported ecosystem development activities.

Eddie Thai has a Bachelor's degree in Government and Economics (secondary) from Harvard University. Eddie also has an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Private Equity from Yale University.
