Mei Chel Tan

Mei Chel Tan is the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at 500 Global. Mei has over 15 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, and venture capital.

Mei Chel Chel has a degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Mei started their career as a Consultant at Asia Venture Group, where they advised on legal, tax and risk matters for AVG as a venture capital entity and for the operations, structuring and fundraising of its investee companies.

In 2015, Mei Chel left Asia Venture Group to start their own consultancy, where they provided project management and strategic planning services to venture funds and early to mid-stage technology start-ups in the Southeast Asian region. Her clients included leading companies operating regional marketplaces, content generation, e-commerce and ad tech.

In their current role as Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at 500 Global, Mei Chel is responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning process and identifying new business opportunities.

Mei Chel Tan was educated at Garden International School, where they completed their A-Levels. Mei then attended King's College London, where they obtained their LLB in Law. Mei subsequently completed their Bar Vocational Course at The University of Law. Tan is a certified Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, as well as a Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia Associate Member and a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Associate Member (Malaysia Branch). Mei is also a Barrister-at-Law of the Bar of England and Wales.

Mei Chel Tan works with James Wu - Finance Director, Brinda Dutta - General Counsel, and Donna Cunanan - Controller. Their manager is Paul Yoo, CFO.
