Peter Shin

Peter Shin is an experienced program lead and pre-seed investor at 500 Global, overseeing various investment programs since October 2021. In addition, Peter serves as a program manager and writer for Outsome, focusing on empowering founders through a weekly newsletter. As a co-founder of QueryPie, the leading data governance solution in Korea, Peter contributed to compliance with global standards. Previous roles include founding member at a stealth startup where Peter secured $30 million in funding and head of e-commerce at Manna CEA, where Peter launched Korea's first premium food subscription service. Other notable experiences include business development at 스마트스터디 and antis-terror operations during the 2014 Asian Games for the International Olympic Committee. Peter's military service includes managing significant resources as a strategies sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army. Education includes a tenure at Y Combinator and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Cape Town.
