Sammy Lawrence

Sammy Lawrence is currently a Campaign Strategist at 50+1 Strategies. Prior to this, they were the Political Director at Jon Santiago for Boston Mayor from May 2021 to August 2021. In this role, they developed and carried out an endorsement strategy that secured endorsements from Boston’s State House delegation, several national organizations, labor unions, and diverse community leaders. They also managed endorsement roll outs and organized in-person and virtual events to accompany the endorsement. Sammy also aggregated, curated, and monitored a political list of over 2000 endorsers, validators, and community leaders.

Before their work at Jon Santiago for Boston Mayor, Sammy was the Field Director at Cisneros For Congress from February 2020 to November 2020. Prior to that, they were a Ballot Access Organizer at Cory 2020 from August 2019 to January 2020. Sammy began their career as a Campaign Manager at Nick Melvoin for LAUSD School Board Campaign in 2022. Most recently, they were the Director Of Communications at Joyce Craig for Mayor from September 2021 to November 2021.
