Jannis Visser

Jannis Visser has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2008, Jannis worked as a Program Coordinator at NGO Greenpower, followed by a role as a Database Manager at McGill University in 2009. In 2011, Jannis served as a Teaching Assistant at the Tinbergen Institute before joining Adviesbureau Zevenbergen as a CAD-drawer and Administrative employee from 2001 to 2011. From 2012 to 2016, Jannis worked at MIcompany as a Marketing Intelligence Analyst, specializing in predictive modeling and translating analysis results into usable business tools. Currently, Jannis is a Project Lead, Data Analyst, and Web-developer at 510, an initiative of the Netherlands Red Cross that aims to make humanitarian disaster response more data-driven and efficient.

Jannis Visser completed their education in a chronological order. Jannis first attended Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet, where they completed their VWO degree in Natuur & Techniek from 1999 to 2005. Afterwards, they pursued a BSc degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Utrecht from 2005 to 2008. Jannis then continued their studies at the Tinbergen Institute from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained an MSc/MPhil degree in Economics. Jannis also participated in an exchange semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007.
