Akshaya Anand

Akshaya Anand is a Co-Founder and CTO at Korion Health since March 2022, leading the development of an electronic stethoscope and interactive user interface aimed at enhancing heart and lung screening accessibility. As an Independent Contractor for 5Metis Inc. since October 2022, Akshaya designed a data visualization tool that improved decision-making productivity by 33%. Prior work at the National Institutes of Health as a Postbaccalaureate Research Fellow involved training deep learning models for CT medical image classification and designing genomic analysis pipelines. Akshaya also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland and has had internship experiences that include leading a project at AgriMetis LLC for bioinformatics data analysis and developing yeast strains at Igene Biotechnology Inc. Akshaya holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Microbiology from the University of Maryland.
